Only Terekke can flip a C+C Music Factory joint and make it sound like anything BUT C+C Music Factory. Small vocal motifs from “Take a Toke” get mangled beyond oblivion in this lo-fi glory hole stepped in warped but welcoming pads and downpitched TR-909 drums. Without the title hinting at its source you’d know the sample sounds vaguely familiar but Terekke exposes just enough of it to keep you guessing. Probably why I like this now 3-year old piece.
