Somehow this tune by Untzz label boss HVCK manages to toss about every style of music released before 2000 I enjoyed without making it sound like a complete trainwreck. While its foundation is a 2-step garage influenced loop and a Moroder-inspired b-line, “Throwhvck” also takes cues from hip hop, ghettotech and of course house and techno. Only thing missing is jungle but honestly an amen break high-passed on top probably wouldn’t sound too out of place either.
