MADE IN BOSTON: PRISM-TWO HEARTS VIP

img_0228

Five years ago Prism finished “Two Hearts”, a sparse yet highly-melodic affair that took his music career to the next level. It was not only a staple of stateside dubstep pioneer Joe Nice’s sets, but even went as far as to get rinsed by Skream on Rinse FM back in 2012. It saw a vinyl release and even a music video!

Prism just revisited this piece, taking it in an even deeper, more hypnotic direction than the original. The drums are stripped back with almost none of the original’s delay effects, giving both the pads and the signature arp extra room to breathe. It’s also punctuated with longer breakdowns and even trails off into four-on-the-floor action towards the end.
